Full, firm, and youthful breasts are often a source of pride of woman. However, after pregnancy and childbirth, the breasts can lose their shape, sag, and drop. When there is enough breast tissue, it is used to lift and reshape the breasts. During the procedure, the nipple is repositioned and, if necessary, reduced in size. The glandular tissue is sculpted through wedge-shaped cuts and specialized sutures. In most cases , execellent results are achieved. If there isn’t enough natural tissue to reach the desired size, a breast implant can be used to enhance the shape.
OPERATION
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. The nipple is always incised around and repositioned higher. Depending on the extent of breast sagging, the lift may involve removing excess tissue around the incision and lifting breast tissue around the nipple. For moderate sagging , a vertical breast lift is typically performed. In cases of more signifficant breast displacment, an inverted T-shaped lift is used to achieve the desired result.
Post-operative period
Typically, patients can return to work within a week, but physical activity should be avoided for about month. The aesthetic results are long-lasting; however, changes in weight, pregnancy, and aging can impact the shape of the breasts.
OPERATIONAL RISK
Like any intervention, it may be followed with an adverse reaction to anaesthesia, swelling, nipple sensitivity may decrease or be absent. Rarely, bleeding, wound infection, scar hypertrophy may occur.
