Over 50 Years of Experience and More Than 250,000 Successful Treatments Worldwide

Proven Hair Restoration with the Trusted DHI Method

This procedure is performed at the clinic using the world-renowned DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) method. The DHI method has been used in the treatment of hair loss for more than 50 years and has been performed and proven effective by more than 250,000 patients.

Before the procedure

Consultation with a dermatologist is required. During the consultation, the cause of the hair loss is determined, the density of the hair in the donor area is assessed, the condition of the hair, the desired expectations and any comorbidities are discussed.

About the procedure

The hair transplantation procedure can be performed on both younger and older patients, after a prior assessment of the causes of hair loss and comorbidities. The procedure is performed on both men and women. Hair transplantation is most often performed on the scalp in the presence of androgenic alopecia (a hereditary disease caused by hormonal pathology), thinning of beard hair or thinning of eyebrow hair.

No Scalpels, No Scars – Just Precise Implantation with Maximum Hair Survival and Natural Results

Minimally Invasive DHI Technique for Precise and Natural Hair Transplantation

Hair for transplantation is in most cases taken from the occipital area, but in some cases, if the density in that area is insufficient, hair follicles are taken from the back or other parts of the body. Each case is individual and is discussed during the patient consultation.

Local anaesthesia is applied during the procedure. Hair transplantation is performed by transferring one hair follicle from the donor area to the area where hair restoration or increased density is desired. The diameter of the instrument used to perform the transfer is as small as one millimetre. The removed hairs are stored in a special medium, a liquid and at the appropriate temperature, which ensures their good adhesion and growth and development after transplantation. Each hair is implanted with DHI’s unique patented implanter (also up to 1 mm in diameter – minimally traumatic) according to the required direction of growth, selecting the right angle of growth and depth. No scalpels or other traumatic surgical instruments are used. This technology makes the procedure superior to other hair transplantation methods such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), as it avoids the need to make „holes“ or tears in the skin before implanting the hair, or the Strip method, which involves transplanting the hair together with areas of skin, leaving obvious scars, a difficult healing period, and a high risk of infection.

Flexible Treatment Duration and Key Benefits of the DHI Hair Transplantation Method

The procedure can last from a few hours to several days (spread over two days). Depending on the size of the problem and the number of hairs to be transplanted, the size of the transplant can vary from a few hundred hairs to 6,000 – 7,000 hairs.

Advantages of the DHI method:

No areas of skin grafted;
no visible scarring;
completely safe;
the depth of each transplanted hair is controlled;
no needles are used for grafting, which could traumatize the hair follicle;
the end result is natural-looking hair.
Two hair transplantation techniques are commonly used in global practice: DHI and FUE.

After the procedure

There is no need for long-term medication after the procedure, as 97% of the transplanted hair will not fall out. In most cases, patients can return to their normal working routine the next day.
